Long COVID Naturopathic Care in Toronto, Ontario

You’re not imagining this. And you’re not alone.

If your body hasn’t felt the same since a viral infection, it can be hard to explain what’s changed… especially when your labs are “normal” or you’ve been told to just wait it out.

Maybe your energy crashes without warning.
Maybe standing makes you lightheaded.
Maybe your body feels more sensitive, reactive, or unpredictable than it used to.

This is a real health condition. And you deserve care from a practitioner who understands what you’re experiencing.

What Long COVID Can Feel Like

Long COVID doesn’t look the same for everyone.

You might be experiencing:

  • Persistent or fluctuating fatigue

  • Post-exertional crashes (feeling worse after activity)

  • Lightheadedness or dizziness, especially when standing

  • Brain fog or difficulty concentrating

  • Body pain or new aches

  • Shortness of breath or lingering cough

  • Digestive changes (bloating, nausea, IBS-like symptoms)

  • New sensitivities (to food, allergens, supplements, light, or sound)

You don’t need to have every symptom on this list to be taken seriously.

My Approach: The BestPace Method

Long COVID care shouldn’t be rushed or one-size-fits-all.

I use a structured process to understand what’s changed in your body and support recovery in a way that respects your energy and capacity.

The Insight Phase: In-Depth Assessment

We start with a thorough, two-visit assessment process designed for people with fatigue and brain fog.

This includes:

  • A detailed health history focused on what’s changed since your infection

  • Review and interpretation of lab work - I’ll review labs already run by other practitioners, and order more if necessary

  • Functional assessment, so I can see how your day-to-day capacity has changed

  • Physical exam (for in-person visits), including orthostatic testing when appropriate

This stage helps us answer a key question: What’s not functioning the way it used to in your body?

You can learn more about long COVID assessment and diagnosis in this blog post.

The Strategy Phase: Targeted, System-by-System Support

From there, we move into treatment.

Instead of trying everything at once, we work systematically… supporting the systems in your body that need attention, in a sequence that makes sense for you.

This may include support for:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Pacing

  • Digestive function and nutrient absorption

  • Immune and inflammatory patterns

  • Energy production

We adjust as we go, based on your response.

And when your system becomes more stable, we gradually shift toward increasing capacity.

Everything is paced with you, not pushed onto you.

FAQs:

Do I need a formal Long COVID diagnosis?

No.

If your health changed after an infection and hasn’t returned to baseline, that’s enough to start this work.

I can complete an assessment and work with your GP to finalize an official diagnosis.

What if my tests have all been normal?

That’s very common.

In fact, there is no blood test, physical exam, or imaging study that can identify long COVID. We’ll assess all the symptoms that are actually relevant to a diagnosis.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on your symptoms, your starting point, and your capacity.

This is not a quick fix. It’s a structured process that unfolds over time, with regular check-ins and adjustments.

Will I have to change everything about my lifestyle?

No.

We focus on targeted, realistic changes that support your recovery, not overwhelming overhauls.

Can I work with you if I have brain fog or low energy?

Yes.

The entire process is designed with that in mind… including how appointments are structured and how information is shared.
