What does the BestPace Method do differently?

Instead of focusing on exercise like most physio programs, or treating you like it’s all in your head like CBT, the BestPace method systematically supports each body system that’s been lagging since your symptoms started - building up your resilience until we can methodically increase your body’s capacity to do more.

The BestPace method is delivered as one-on-one naturopathic care.

You’ll start in the insight phase

where we go through a full assessment so you can feel confident in your diagnosis.

This phase is comprised of a detailed assessment form, two long appointments (done virtually), and often includes lab testing if needed.

Next, we work on key body systems

supporting each of the functions that haven’t been working so well since you got sick.

We’ll focus on managing your symptoms, building resilience, and addressing the underlying processes that are getting in the way of your recovery.

When I started pursuing training and mentorship in CFS/ME and fibromyalgia in 2018, I had no idea that a global pandemic would precipitate a huge surge in the need for my expertise in just a few short years.

And now, thousands of people in Ontario are struggling to get support for this debilitating condition.

So I created The BestPace Method.

  • The BestPace Method is fully individualized for every patient, and how long it takes will depend on the best pace for you. Most people work through the Method in 7-10 months, and continue checking in with me less often after that.

  • The BestPace Method is delivered through individual appointments, with each one billed separately. You can read more about my rates here.

    Naturopathic medicine is covered by most extended health benefits plans.

  • Definitely not. The sooner we can start working together, the sooner you’ll feel better, regardless of whether your assessment is totally complete. I love working alongside physicians, and supporting you in getting the assessment you need.

  • Nope, this isn’t a long-COVID-exclusive method - you can work with me regardless of when your symptoms started.

    I’m also happy to work with people struggling with fatigue, digestive complaints, and metabolic concerns, regardless of whether you have CFS/ME or not.
