Queer-Affirming Naturopathic Care in Toronto, Ontario
Healthcare feels different when you can just be yourself.
Healthcare can really suck for queer folks.
Many of us have learned that being fully known in a medical setting can change how we’re treated.
Sometimes subtly. Sometimes not.
You may have had providers:
make assumptions about your identity or relationships
fixate on your gender or sexuality when it wasn’t relevant
use language that didn’t fit you
dismiss your experiences altogether
or make you feel like your body or identity was something unusual to navigate
That kind of healthcare exhaustion is real.
I wanted to create something different. Healthcare you actually look forward to.
As a queer femme myself, part of what inspired me to become a naturopathic doctor was my own experiences in healthcare, and watching friends and loved ones navigate systems that weren’t built with them in mind.
You deserve care where you can just be.
Healthcare for Queers
This space is intentionally welcoming to LGBTQ2SIA+ folks, including:
queer folks
trans and non-binary people
ace-spectrum folks
intersex people
people questioning or exploring identity
people who are simply tired of feeling “othered” in healthcare settings
You do not need to explain or justify your identity here.
And you don’t need to perform it, either.
You’re welcome whether your identity is central to your healthcare experience, or something you barely want to talk about at all.
What Queer-Affirming Care Looks Like Here
For me, affirming care isn’t about performative language or rainbow branding.
It’s about whether you can actually relax into being a whole person during your appointment.
Every aspect of my practice is designed with that in mind.
That includes:
using the language you use for yourself
avoiding assumptions about bodies, relationships, or sexuality
structuring forms and records to reflect your actual life
making space for informed choice and autonomy
creating care plans that consider your real goals and lived experience
This extends to practical details too, including an accessible, all-gender washroom at the clinic.
Areas I Commonly Support
Many queer folks come into my practice for support with:
anxiety and depression
chronic stress and burnout
digestive symptoms and IBS
fatigue and chronic illness
hormone and reproductive health concerns
Importantly, I don’t approach mental health in a way that ignores the realities of discrimination, stress, or systemic harm. The goal isn’t to convince you the world is easy. It’s to help you build capacity, resilience, and support within the world you actually live in.
And yes… the overlap between queer folks, neurodivergence, and hypermobility is very real. If you happen to have a spicy brain or bendy body too, I can help you with the challenges those present too.
Who This Is For
This care is likely a good fit if:
You’re dealing with ongoing symptoms after a viral illness
You want a clearer understanding of what’s happening in your body
You’re open to making supportive, realistic changes over time
You want to be an active participant in your care
You’re an Ontario resident able to attend virtual visits, or come in-person to Midtown Toronto (Yonge & St. Clair)
A Note About Gender-Affirming Hormones
Prescribing gender-affirming hormone therapy is currently outside my scope of practice.
However, I’m very happy to support you in other aspects of transition-related care and collaborate with the other practitioners on your team.
This can include talking through all your options so you can make informed choices, managing medication side-effects and long-term hormone related health risks, and offering gender-affirming surgery recovery support.

FAQs:
If my legal name and the name I use are different, what should I put on forms?
Use the name you actually go by when completing your forms.
If you need your legal name included on invoices or lab requisitions, let me know and I’ll add it to your account notes.
What if I’ve had harmful healthcare experiences before?
That’s unfortunately very common.
You’re welcome to move slowly, ask questions, and book a discovery call to get to know me before jumping into your first appointment. I aim to practice from a trauma-informed perspective, and welcome frank conversations about what does and doesn’t work for you.
Do you only work with queer patients?
Not at all. All identities are welcome here.
This practice is intentionally built to be affirming, inclusive, and safer for queer and marginalized folks, and this feeling of safety and space to be yourself is appreciated by many people for many reasons.
